Concerning the postponement of Rienzi to the following season, saying that the glorious Freischütz [by Weber] has sunk to a miserable stopgap ("ist ... zum elenden Lückenbüsser herabgesunken") and serves only to fill out ballet evenings, saying that he considered a benefit performance to help Weber's heirs, mentioning Fischer, Brockhaus, Pillet, Berlioz, Schlesinger, etc.
